The Business Development and Attorney Resources & Recruitment Coordinator supports two key functions for the Houston office. As a member of the Business Development team, the Coordinator will collaborate with the attorneys to develop and implement marketing strategies and business development programs for the Houston office. This includes drafting targeted client pitches and proposals; developing and maintaining marketing collateral; managing conferences, events, sponsorships, PR/media surveys, litigation spotting, strategic planning, and related activities; working with our outside PR agency and other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities on the Recruiting team include recruiting, hiring, and integrating summer associates, entry-level associates and lateral associates as well as managing the summer associate program and on-campus recruiting; coordinating orientation and on-boarding for all Houston associates; managing all aspects of the summer associate program, including planning and coordinating summer program events and budget and keeping in contact with candidates and other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be specifically listed on resume in order to be considered for this position:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 3+ years’ law firm experience with responsibilities in recruiting, business development and/or marketing preferred.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to communicate professionally by email, telephone, and in-person both internally and externally; excellent verbal and written communication skills including proofreading and editing skills; ability to prepare focused and specialized written materials; ability to consistently provide superior level of service to internal and external clients; ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints; excellent knowledge of word processing (Microsoft Word) and spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel); working knowledge of graphics software (Adobe InDesign, Microsoft PowerPoint); experience using LawCruit is ideal; aptitude for learning new applications is a plus; ability to follow instructions effectively and with enthusiasm from a diverse group of attorneys and staff; working knowledge of information resources, including the internet and social media; flexibility to travel and work extended hours as needed; professional appearance and ability to speak comfortably with clients, recruits, law students and other guests at events; ability and willingness to work in a team environment.
