Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness Analyst
General Description: Ka’ala Systems Technology Corp. is seeking a dedicated DoD Financial Audit Analyst to join our growing team. As a DoD Financial Audit Analyst, you will be required to support Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) efforts through knowledge management and business process standardization delivery to meet the congressionally mandated deadline of 2017 to achieve fully auditable financial statements. Accountabilities:
- Provide financial management and accounting operations solutions, internal control management, and audit readiness support
- Provide support to the financial improvement and audit readiness team to build infrastructure to support an audit examination
- Contribute to the development and implementation of Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) and support sustainment testing
- Monitor and manage requests from auditors into the organization and back into the audit infrastructure
- Document, update, and maintain process flows
- Analyze the development and implementation of business process memorandums and standard operating procedures related to command financial business processes and ensure that each of the processes are auditable
- Perform analysis of business processes and internal controls to identify risks
- Analyze existing processes and work with command to reduce process variations that occur
- Assist in documenting, implementing, and training personnel on the approved standard processes.
- Document and perform gap analysis on standard business processes.
- Research policies and provide guidance related to property management.
Job Qualifications:
- Requires a bachelor's degree and 1-3 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Financial statement audit experience
- Experience with process improvement and requirements management
- Experience with DoD, or US Navy, financial management policies and procedures
- Experience with US Navy policies, systems, and procedures for acquisition, inventory, property and material management
- Experience in working with government clients
- Knowledge of budgetary policies, precedents, procedures, and regulations
- Ability to apply expertise to implement processes and procedures
- Ability to gather, analyze, and organize large amounts of data
- Ability to develop and present analyses using Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Experience with process improvement and requirements management.
- Ability to perform a variety of tasks.
- Works under various types of supervision.

Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business field from an accredited college or university.
- Years of Experience: 1 – 3 years of Federal Government Financial Statement Audit or DoD Financial Audit Readiness (FIAR) experience required.
- Security Clearance: SECRET level or higher required
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
