Standby rescue is a unique service provided by SR&FS. It is highly technical and requires extremely professional delivery and presence. With the completion of company provided training, the rescue technician will possess the skills to construct and utilize complex rescue systems. Through education and experience, the rescue technician will possess the knowledge and understanding of related National Standards that apply to rescue. The rescue technician must be able to remain calm in high stress environments and be aware of liabilities that may be involved with life safety activities.
SR&FS expectations of all applicants for Standby Rescue position(s)
MUST BE 21 YEARS OF AGE and shall possess the following characteristics:
Previous Confined Space Rescue Training desired
Strong Communication Skills
Above Average Documentation Skills
Excellent Listening Skills
Above Average Level of Fitness
Strong Team Attitude
Must Be Punctual
And of Good Character
All applicants should consider the unique nature of the position as a rescue technician. Occasional travel, long shifts and unusual work environments should be expected. At all sites, the position will require professional representation of SR&FS involving direct contact with our clients and site safety managers.
Hours will be 8am to 5pm Monday thru Friday at the office unless otherwise required for standby. Sometimes we are called onto sites at a moment’s notice. Starting pay is $13.00/HR with increases depending on certain certifications acquired.
