Summary of Position:
40 Hours Per Week, $9.75 per hour plus tips
The ATV Guide requires the applicant to safely and professionally navigate trails while being responsible for the safety of up to 8 other guests driving machines. This position carries an enormous responsibility. The position requires a very high degree of professionalism, confidence and knowledge. Excellent communication, customer service and multi-tasking skills are also required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
____Complete machine inspections before tour and report any problems to mechanic
____Greet guests as they arrive and depart in a timely manner
____Make sure guests read and understand liability form
____Make sure guests are physically and mentally able to drive an ATV safely
____Be able to enforce company policy and stop guests if they are not following our rules
____Ensure cleanliness and a pleasant atmosphere of ATV gear and shop
____Provide professional level of entertainment on guided tour with enthusiasm multiple times a day
____Accommodate guests to ensure they receive prompt, courteous service
____Effectively and positively communicate with guests, employees, and vendors at all times
____Diplomatic and prompt handling of guest complaints
____Take charge when upper management is unavailable
____Ability to work under erratic deadlines and with changing priorities
____Complete required reports correctly and in a timely manner
____Ability to work a varied schedule
____Make sure all guests are accounted for
____Report to work in proper clothing, clean, and ready for work
____Maintain positive attitude in high stress situations
____Go the extra mile/Follow through to ensure guest satisfaction
____Other duties as required and as they arise
Qualifications:
____Ability to remain positive in stressful situation
____Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. required
____Professional and clean appearance required
____Must speak excellent English
____Previous experience or education with machines strongly preferred
____Excellent Customer Service Skills required and public speaking skills
____Willingness to learn as much as you can about Black Diamond, Denali Park & Alaska
____Must be Safe and Clean with a Safety Focus at all Times
____Must be Team-oriented worker
____May be required to work additional hours as dictated by the work load and staffing.
____Regular, predictable and reliable attendance
____Be able to work in cold, hot, wet, humid and/or dry environment for long period of time

Do not expect tips and you will be very happy with the results at the end of the summer. We are a team at Black Diamond and a lot of people work so that you can have the guests to take on your tour
$1 per shift is to be given to the Front Desk, 10% of your tips is to be given to the front desk for Maintenance Envelope
