TITLE: MEDICAL DIRECTOR
Advanced Medical Reviews is one of the leading Independent Review Organizations in the nation. Our experienced medical network provides comprehensive medical opinion. We help hospitals, medical insurance carriers, and state health agencies resolve coverage disputes and evaluate quality of care. Advanced Medical Reviews provides national coverage with actively practicing board-certified physicians and licensed healthcare professionals.
We are currently seeking a full-time physician to act as a supervisor responsible for providing quality assurance of the independent medical review process. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: Applying clinical skills and expertise in conjunction with established medical criteria to ensure medical integrity. Support the staff ensuring timely and consistent responses to clients. Serving as a subject matter expert on complex medical management issues.
Identifies and develops opportunities for innovation to increase effectiveness and quality. Serve as a resource and consultant to other areas of the company.
Required Qualifications:
1. MD/ DO with 5 years experience, an active unrestricted state license, board certification, and no action on DEA or state license.
2. Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
3. Excellent problem identification/problem solving and follow through skills.
4. Ability to function independently and take independent action, within the scope of job responsibilities.
5. Computer experience with word processing.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience in managed care environment
2. Experience as a medical director, utilization management, or quality review.
3. Experience in working with established criteria to determine medical necessity and appropriateness of care.
4. Knowledge and familiarity in research methodologies and ability to interpret medical literature.

Hours: Full time during business hours
Compensation: Negotiable - includes medical, dental, vision, paid time off, and 401K
