We’re looking for veterans that have a passion for sports and a desire to give back to their local communities by working with underserved kids!
Who We Are
Coach Across America (CAA), the workforce development program of Up2Us Sports, recruits veterans to be youth sports coaches and places them in organizations—schools, nonprofits, recreation and parks, and community centers—that provide youth development programming in our nation’s most underserved communities. Following extensive training in sports coaching and youth development, CAA coaches work to ensure that kids have the chance, the knowledge, and the support to make healthy choices, stay in school, stay out of trouble and become leaders in their communities. CAA coaches are more than coaches; they are mentors for kids that could use a caring adult in their lives.
The expectations for CAA coaches are high and the work is intense. However, the reward is well worth the effort in the following ways 1) CAA coaches make a positive impact on the kids they serve 2) CAA coaches are an integral part of the organization where they serve and learn sports coaching skills, 3) CAA coaches that successfully complete the program will have access to a job bank from a network of 1100 youth sports organizations nationwide that are members of Up2Us Sports.
