Assistant Professor
The Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at Colorado School of Mines invites applications for the anticipated filling of an Assistant Professor position, beginning fall 2014.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate courses and graduate courses in their area of specialty. The candidate must mentor Ph.D. students and develop and sustain a strong, externally funded research program. Further, the successful candidate will be expected to work effectively in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment within the Department and across the Mines campus. Research areas in which faculty will be sought are broad; however, we have particular interest in catalysis, biochemical engineering, sustainable energy production, interfacial engineering, and biomedical engineering.
Applicants must possess a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field and demonstrated potential for successful teaching, scholarship and service. The successful candidate must have strong interpersonal and communications skills.
