- Clean driving record. This means no traffic citations within the last 6 months, no crashes in the last 2 years, no DUI/alcohol related or other criminal-level traffic offenses within the last 5 years (vehicular assault, fleeing and eluding, reckless driving, etc). Ideal candidate will possess the following traits:
- Excellent customer service skills
- Quick to learn; remembering information about customers, bin locations, part numbers and manufacturers is vital
- Ability to establish rapport with customers and vendors on the phone
- Knowledge of eBay, Google Adwords, or other online marketing/sales/SEO knowledge is highly desireable
- Most importantly, a sharp mind full of ideas. Our employees make our company great!
Pay and benefits:
This is an entry level warehouse position. All new employees will be subject to a six month evaluation period to assess their interests, skills and abilities. Pay starts at $11/hourly and increases at 6 months of employment, 12 months of employment, and yearly thereafter. Pay increases are based on performance. Medical/dental benefits are available after six months of full time employment. PTO is accrued in lieu of separate sick time and vacation time, and can be used for either purpose. PTO accrual begins immediately, and employees will be able to start using accrued hours upon completion of their probationary period. Based on the performance of the employee and their skill set, he/she may be offered other positions in the company as they become available.
Last but not least:
We are a family owned, veteran managed business. We strive for results but try not to take ourselves too seriously. We want employees who will work when it's time to work, but don't mind ribbing, inside jokes, the occasional mobility scooter race (no, I'm not joking), randomly yelling at each other, and generally good-natured fun. You might get yelled at for real. I might rag on you for making a stupid mistake or get in your face about a safety violation. It happens, and it isn't personal. As long as you learn from it, you're good to go. However, if you are the type that can't take a joke or gets their feelings hurt easily, please don't apply.
If you're still with me after all of that and want to apply, read on:
E-mail your cover letter and resume to
JB@rmeai dot com. The cover letter IS NOT optional. Don't have one written? Write one. Resumes received without a letter included will not be looked at. I want you to tell me why I should hire you over every one else that decided to apply. I look for potential in my employees - show me what you've got. Thanks, and good luck.
