Mid-sized Property Management firm seeking experienced, service-oriented Maintenance Technician to work weekdays in the Atlanta Metro Area.
Position Purpose
• Performs skilled maintenance and repairs on equipment and accessories as required for the cost effective and efficient operation of the Community as directed by Supervisor, Board and Property Manager.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
• Responsible for the care and upkeep of buildings and grounds for the community.
• Completes minor repairs, ie: lighting, grounds, cleaning, plumbing, pool, locks, painting, signage, and roofing.
• Maintains work area, returns tools to proper location & reports any missing equipment to supervisor.
• Must have experience in repairing sheetrock and drywall.
• Must have knowledge of electrical repairs, including changing out light fixtures, ballasts, wall switches and timers.
• Must have good carpentry skills.
• May be required to perform emergency duties on a call-out basis on nights and weekends.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor, Board or Property Manager.
Environmental Job Requirements
• Majority of work is done outside during work hours.
• Some distractions due to occasional exposure to noise, dust, odors, heat, cold, heavy loads/lifting, etc.
• Must be flexible and enjoy a varied routine as days can rarely be planned.
• Must be reasonably fit; expect to be active for most of the working day.
Minimum Qualifications
• Knowledge of hand and power tools and equipment used to perform repairs and maintenance.
• Must be responsible, honest and reliable; able to attend work on a regular basis.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be practical and stay calm in an emergency.
• Must have good verbal communication skills.
• Must understand safe working practices as well as health and safety regulations.
• Must be eighteen years of age or older.
• Must pass the Drug Test.
• Must pass the Background Check.
Education Required
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications and Outlook email.
• The knowledge, skills, and abilities typically gained through the acquisition of a high school diploma and/or GED.
Experience Required
• Five years of relevant verifiable work experience.
