American Pest Solutions, Inc. (APS) a family owned pest control company in business since 1913, is looking for an experienced, outstanding Service Manager to lead and manage our Service Technician team of 9-11 employees. APS is an established and growing company. We are looking for someone who will serve as an integral part of the business, and is interested in a long-term commitment to grow the company and to grow with the company.
An ideal candidate will have 5+ years of proven, successful service management experience. Pest Control experience preferred but not required. Candidate must have a documented history of outstanding leadership, reliability, and integrity. Will lead with a hands-on approach.

Medium level computer, email, and word processing skills -Pest Pac experience a plus!
High school diploma or equivalent and a at least a 2 year degree.
Will be required to obtain MA/CT applicators and supervisory licenses
General Duties
Work closely with team to implement company policy, direction, and decisions.
Lead by example, maintain and communicate company core values, vision and culture.
Immediately identify, communicate, and aid in resolution of potential concerns, threats, or key issues.
Assist with hiring for division. Provide initial training and continued coaching and direction for direct oversight employees.
Conduct discipline and performance reviews.
Ensure compliance with state and federal pesticide and safety regulations.
Maintain and inspect vehicle operations and maintenance.
Manage inventory of products, materials and equipment.
Build and maintain relationships with customers.
Pursue ongoing education.
Ensure proper communication and scheduling of technicians.
Conduct training sessions/ensure proper licensing for team.
Optimize service routes and schedules.
Must be able to resolve problems, handle conflict and make effective decisions under pressure.
Able to give, receive and analyze information, formulate work plans, prepare written materials and articulate goals and action plans.
Provide detailed reports to President and team on a consistent basis.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping and stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment.
Requires normal range of hearing and vision to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports.
Physical ability to perform the work including bending, lifting, carrying 50 lbs of equipment, kneeling, crawling, entering confined spaces and climbing ladders or scaffolds.
Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours.
Must be mentally adaptable and flexible in dealing with a variety of people.
Required experience:
Service Management Experience: 5 years
