Highway Assistance Patrol Drivers
IncidentClear is seeking out individuals who possess motivation, a desire to serve, and those who have a history of service to others to be a part of the Highway Assistance Program (HAP). IncidentClear’s HAP drivers provide rapid response clearance of disabled vehicles and removal of road debris while patrolling Massachusetts’ most highly traveled roadways. Under the HAP program,
HAP drivers will assist motorists and keep highways safe by performing the following services:
* Changing flat tires
* Repair minor mechanical problems
* Removing debris from the road at the scene of an accident
* Providing minimal amounts of fuel
* Providing emergency medical assistance
CURRENT SERVICE AREAS BEING HIRED
IncidentClear is hiring HAP drivers for patrol routes in Metro Boston, Worcester and Springfield.
HOURS
HAP drivers operate under a split shift Monday-Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. with extended hours as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Maintain willingness and ability to serve others
* Possess knowledge or willingness to learn the incident management discipline
* Have a safe driving record with a current Massachusetts driver’s license. HAP drivers cannot have in excess of two (2) moving violations within an 18-month time period.
* Have a high school diploma or GED
* Be able to lift 80 pounds
* Pass a criminal background check and driver license investigation (no felony convictions)
* Pass a background check
* Pass a pre-employment and an annual random drug test
* Possess certification in first-aid or willingness to obtain certification
* Possess knowledge of basic automotive mechanics
*Possess sound judgment in carrying out their duties and conduct themselves in such a manner that will reflect favorably upon IncidentClear and MassDOT.
