The selected candidate will serve as the principal Logistics System Analyst to research, assess, and document United States Marine Corps (USMC) supply chain and logistics policies, processes, automated transactional information systems, and data interfaces in support of the sustainment and enhancement of the Marine Corps Logistics Command (MCLC) Life Cycle Modeling Integrator (LCMI) portfolio of applications and the Master Data Repository (MDR). The successful candidate will consult with and provide guidance to the LCMI program technical staff (database engineers, software developers) in the application of appropriate business rules used in the design and development of both the MDR data architecture as well as in the design and development of web application user interfaces. They will also coordinate the research, analysis, and documentation efforts of other team members to ensure integration and consistency of logistics and supply chain business rules across the portfolio of LCMI applications and the underlying MDR data architecture. The candidate will also possess an entrepreneurial spirit and use this to establish new business relationships with new partners and clients. Duties will include working with the client to communicate and align company capabilities with the client's needs, establishing and promoting a close relationship with the client base, coordinating with corporate resource managers to align skills to required capabilities, and effectively managing tasks to meet the clients' needs.
The qualified candidate may have a BA/BS in a related field of study with at least 10 years of directly related experience (or an MA/MS and at least 8 years of directly related experience). If no degree, additional years of directly related experience may be considered. Experience in DOD/Military acquisition/procurement processes and procedures is required, specifically USMC Logistics; candidates must demonstrate a deep and broad understanding of USMC logistics and supply chain policies, processes, and systems. Preferred candidates should possess knowledge of and ability to explain in detail: Marine Corps (USMC), Department of the Navy (DON), and Department of Defense (DoD) policies related to supply chain and logistics processes across the Marine Corps’ supply chain; from using units to intermediate supply and maintenance activities, Inventory Control Points (ICPs); depot maintenance activities; warehousing, e.g., stock, store and issue (pick, pack, prep and ship) wholesale processes and the supporting, automated transactional processing systems. Additionally, preferred candidates must be able to articulate details about the interrelationships between USMC policies, processes, systems, and data. Recent experience working in the Marine Corps Systems Command, Marine Corps Logistics Command and/or the Marine Corps Combat Development Command is also preferred. Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance is required.
