Impact Sand and Gravel is looking for a Mine Manager to work directly with the General Manager to help oversee all management and operations of our 6 quarries!

POSITION SUMMARY: Assist the AGM in leading the production company in accomplishing its mission, budgets, and goals. Help oversee the overall management of Maintenance and Production of Boulder Ranch Quarry. This person will be responsible for understanding the financial management of Company and held accountable for controlling expenses.
TOP 5 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (Scorecard):
- Safety is your #1 job function. You are responsible for ensuring that all employees and any one we interact with are not harmed by our action or inaction. Ensure every employee understands their number one job duty is SAFETY. Ensure they have the proper protective equipment and the proper training on all equipment/processes to perform their job duties. Understand and comply with the MSHA regulations. Enforce safety rules and regulations.
- Preventative Maintenance: You are responsible for creating and maintaining preventative maintenance schedules for each piece of equipment at each quarry. All scheduled maintenance should be done in a timely manner, keeping safety and costs as a high priority for each segment and if there are delays, they should be reported on a weekly report to the Assistant General Manager and General Manager along with the planned make up dates.
- 100% Runtime: You are responsible for improving plant efficiency. Reaching our goal of 100% plant runtime and maximum tons per hour will require; great communication & teamwork with production crew, ensuring plant equipment checklists are getting done daily, all spills are repaired daily, manage the maintenance and equipment task lists.
- Project Management: Take a leadership role in planning and executing projects. Work with General Manager to streamline systems, monitor tasks and pro-actively push along the progress of projects and ensure that tasks are completed by following up with information and correspondence in a timely manner.
- Meet production goals and prepare reports/paperwork; you are responsible for leading your team to meet and report all that happens in production (tons, cost per ton, daily pit profitability, preventative maintenance, down time, etc.) Maintain reporting requirements with accuracy and adhere to schedule per attached chart
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Company Operations: Assist with running quarry operations…use two-brain theory to make decisions keeping the Assistant General Manager informed as appropriate. Balance this with pulling as many tasks off the Assistant General Manager as possible.
- Build & maintain a Top-Graded team: continually build upon the excellence of your team by recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, counseling, motivating and transitioning
- Quality and inventory control: Ensure that all materials produced are in spec and not contaminated. You need to ensure quality control measures are in place and used for production of all materials. Ensure all material going into or out of each pile is accurately reported and controlled using the inventory control procedures manual.
- Actively learn: beyond becoming one of the top Entrepreneurial Scientists [technical & system experts in your industry], use a teachable spirit and your training plan, questions, one on ones, etc. to grow and learn as much as possible. Seek and listen to advice.
- Follow and enforce all policies, laws and regulations: do the right things for the right reasons and ensure your team does the same.
- Prevent discrimination: ensure that there is no harassment or unfair treatment based on sex, religion, race or other status. Ensure that any issues in this area are reported to HR and the owner in writing immediately.

- Other: Perform other general duties as assigned or delegated.
Qualifications for this position:
• 3+ years of experience in a leadership role in a quarry environment
• Crusher Maintenance knowledge
