This position plays a key role in our companies' overall ability to serve our external customers with outstanding service. Our Quality Technician is responsible for identifying/receiving product (electronic, hardware, mechanical) by matching up paperwork, identifying date code & lot code information, taking detailed pictures of incoming material, and deciding if the condition of the product meets our customer's expectations.
This person must be familiar with all types of Defense & Aerospace equipment and applications. Due to our ability to source any type of product, knowledge of electronics such as microcircuits, capacitors, resistors etc....to hardware and mechanical components is imperative. This person must possess good communication skills, must be organized, and must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
Main Responsibilities
• Inspect parts, assemblies and finished products in accordance with customer and federal guidelines.
• Perform complex and critical inspection.
• Produce inspection reports.
• Conduct investigations and root cause analysis on recurring quality issues.
• Visual Inspection
• Utilizing gauges, calipers, and force test equipment
• Ability to identify conforming vs. nonconforming material.
Other Qualifications:
• Experience with interpretation of technical materials (technical drawings, engineering instructions, engineering dispositions etc.)
• Communicate product and deficiency concerns with product manufactures, vendors/suppliers
• Understanding of basic supply chain management functions (ordering, receiving, life usage, part quarantine, material surveys etc.)
• Understanding of AS9100 standards for Control of Documents and Records and Post Delivery Product Realization
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) applications
• Experienced communicator; capable of briefing or presenting to organizational leadership/employees and customers (internal/external)
• Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool interface
• Experience with AS & ISO auditing processes and creating FAI reports
Requirements
• Minimum of 3-5 years prior quality control experience.
• Must have First Article Inspection experience (AS9102).
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
