Job title: Field Service Technician
Reporting to: Technician Supervisor
Salary: Hourly
Hours: Full Time Position requiring out of office availability of at least 40 hours per week, availability 24/7 (with the exception of vacation and sick leave) through company provided cellular phone.
Location: Various remote locations requiring land, air, and sea travel
Purpose of the position
In addition to mandatory compliance with the company’s safety program, the Field Service Technician is responsible for the ensuring the company’s success through the efficient and accurate installation and/or repair of rental and customer owned equipment including the associated documentation. The Position is also responsible for the execution of operational best practices developed with the goal of zero call backs and zero errors. The Field Service Technician is directly responsible for extending DTS’ image to the customer through his or her appearance, attitude, and work ethic. The position is responsible for compliance with strategic goals and tactical operational standards of DTS.
Responsibilities & duties
▌Responsibility 1 – Enforce, follow, and assist in the development of DTS’ safety program.
Work standard – 100% compliance
▌Responsibility 2 – Efficiently and accurately install, maintain, and/or repair rental and customer owned equipment as per customer requirements.
Work standard – Zero call-backs and elimination of non-billable time related to tech error.
▌Responsibility 3 – Manage all aspects of documentation as required by DTS and specific customers including accurate development and complete fulfilment of Job Safety Analysis, Field Work Tickets, and all other forms as deemed necessary in the course of operation.
Work standard – 100% ownership of accurate information exchange
▌Responsibility 4 – Extend DTS’ corporate image to customers through compliance of policies related to personal appearance, positive attitude, technical knowledge, and company vehicle condition.
Work standard – 100% compliance with all image and branding policies including dress-code, facility management, company vehicle standards, and all other public relations policies.
▌Responsibility 5 – Maintain operational and aesthetic condition of company assets including vehicles and equipment.
Work standard – 100% compliance with company vehicle use policies and equipment maintenance policies.
Academic & trades qualifications
Essential Desirable
Knowledge and Compliance with DTS HSE policies. Knowledge and Compliance with DTS HSE policies.
Current and active resume’ in related industry. 2 year Associates Degree In Industrial Electronics or equivalent
Extensive practical IP experience. Certification in IP telephony
Troubleshooting abilities. Advanced Troubleshooting abilities
