Job description
Our client, an industry leader in water treatment, is looking for an experienced Electrician to undertake a variety of tasks relating to setting up and maintaining electrical infrastructure. Due to the high amount of risk pertaining to this job, electricians must be first and foremost responsible individuals with great attention to safety precautions. The ideal candidate must be experienced in different kinds of electrical devices and systems. The goal will be to produce and maintain well-functioning electrical connections to minimize the probability of accidents and maximize usability of electricity in all facilities.
Position Criteria:
- Strong electrical background (schematics, electrical drawing)
- Mechanical background
- Ability to prioritize workload and organize tasks
- Must be a self-starter and highly dependable.
- Computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) a plus.
- Must be extremely aware of safety procedures and protocol
Responsibilities
- Execute plans of electrical wiring for well-functioning lighting, intercom and other electrical systems
- Install safety and distribution components (e.g. switches, resistors, circuit-breaker panels etc.)
- Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility of components
- Prepare and assemble conduits and connect wiring through them
- Prevent breakdown of systems by routinely inspecting and replacing old wiring and insulated cables, cleaning circuits etc.
- Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or substitute damaged units
- Maintains Company truck and ensures all required maintenance is performed.
BasicĀ Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- TIWC
- Successfully pass and obtain DOT Certification. (Drug Test)
- Successfully pass and obtain DISA Certification. (Background Check)
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Oilfield Experience
- Electrical Background (Knowledge of 483 phases, 420 feedback service)
- Experience with VRU
- Experience with Combustor Units
- Experience in mechanical, electrical and instrumentation field work.
