Job for Veteran in Ann Arbor, Michigan:
Plaster Restoration Apprentice

I am getting old and looking to pass on this skilled trade to a younger individual. Every house built before 1963 has plaster, and every thing before 1930 has wood lathe plaster. Very few people have learned this trade since 1963 these houses have old wiring, bad plumbing, and leaking roofs: and fewer every year who know how to repair the damage. Working with me you will learn to use plaster to repair cracks and holes. Then, move on to larger flat surfaces, coves and straight run surfaces. Then how to make molds to reproduce embellished plaster and medallions. I am semi retired and working 3 days a week Monday through Wednesday.
This job requires some heavy lifting, climbing small scaffolds, working overhead, and getting dirty. All work is done on location, so driving is required.
