Van Note-Harvey Associates, Inc. currently has an opening in its Princeton office for a full-time Survey CAD Technician. The ideal candidate is expected to prepare or modify all types of Survey CAD drawings and related duties as required.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Planning and preparation of survey drawings from field notes, sketches, and/or other material.
• Drawing preparation to including plot plans, foundation locations, easement plans, existing conditions surveys, pipe networks plan and profile, boundary surveys, topographic surveys, minor and major subdivisions, and as-built/record plan preparation.
• Create and modify maps for special assignments.
• Assist in developing survey maps and layouts, when necessary.
• Quality control for completeness, accuracy, and to ensure plans meet company and industry standards.
• Organize/maintain project drawings, plot files and project-related information in accordance with VNHA standard procedures.
• Coordinate reproduction of plan sets for submissions.
• Complete projects within project schedule and budgetary targets.
• Perform other related duties, as assigned.

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:

• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D 2019 or later.
• Experience with MicroStation and any survey and/or engineering-related college coursework a plus but not required.
• Strong computer skills.
• Strong communication and problem solving/analysis skills.
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently and collaboratively.

Qualifications for this position include:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Associates degree or completion of a technical trade school in CAD drafting and surveying related courses preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a Survey Technician.
• Valid driver’s license (clean record).

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

This position operates in a professional office environment. This is a largely sedentary role requiring frequent and prolonged computer use. This position may require overtime, evening and/or weekend work depending on project needs.

Salary Range

$50K - $90K. Wages commensurate with experience. Excellent benefits package included for full-time positions. Application must include a resume. Relocation assistance will not be provided.
