Groundskeeper (FT, 8:00am-4:30pm)

Hourly rate: $16.32-$19.59

Primary Function: To perform a variety of tasks relative to the maintenance of the grounds at Meadowood and prescribed services for residents. Performs other tasks as may be assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications: 1-3 years' experience with pruning, garden clean-up, fertilization. Ability to lift 50 pounds, repetitively, required for moving furniture. Must be able to plant, water, prune trees, remove snow, operate bobcat, tractor, and a manual vehicle. CPR, pest, and/or lawn licenses, preferred. This is a year-round position.
Responsibilities:
1. Performs prescribed grounds maintenance tasks such as grass mowing, planting of shrubs, installation of signs, maintenance of roadway surfaces, snow, and ice control, etc.
2. Transports residents via wheelchair, and/or automobile to and from their apartment, center or as otherwise required.
3. Collects and compacts refuse in accordance with procedures prescribed.
4. Moves residents’ and company furniture as required.
5. Performs grounds related planting, roof and gutter repairs, masonry repairs and applies surface treatment as required.
6. Required to work overtime occasionally in the event of emergency or special assignments.
7. Performs duties in a safe workman-like manner.
8. All other duties assigned.
