Maintenance Mechanic (FT, Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm)

Primary Functions: To perform a variety of tasks relative to the maintenance, repair, alterations, and modifications of the residential medical and central facilities of Meadowood.

Qualifications: Must be a high school graduate or equivalent. A working knowledge in craft areas such as plumbing, painting, carpentry, and electrical work. A minimum of 2 years’ comprehensive work experience in these areas. Must have own transportation and hand tools. Must possess a valid driver’s license from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and be insurable by Meadowood insurance, must possess or be able to possess a Commercial Drivers License and be subject to the Department of Transportation regulations. Must possess needed interpersonal skills to relate well with residents and coworkers, ensuring both internal and external customer needs are met. Two years of HVAC experience preferred.

Responsibilities:

1. Assists in tasks relative to the day maintenance of structural systems.

2. Assists in maintaining fire alarm systems, medical alarm systems, television and electrical systems, HVAC systems as required.

3. Participates in in-service education programs.

4. Assists in other mechanics as required.

5. Performs all assigned duties as required by supervisor.

6. Required to work overtime occasionally in the event of an emergency or special assignment.

7. Perform duties in a safe manner.
