Now that we have your attention... Some of you have probably worked with explosives before and some of you may not have, but either way we would love to add some of our wonderful veterans to our pyrotechnic staff!

Southwest Fireworks is specifically looking for people who are reliable, hardworking, and enthusiastic to become vital and valuable members of both our shooter and non-shooter crews.

Before contacting us interested people should understand:

1. All applicants for pyrotechnician positions must be able to pass an immediate required background check. (Note: While a felony does not automatically disqualify someone, it MUST have been non-violent and already expunged with all rights fully restored, and such applicants may only join non-shooter crews.)
2. Applicants must also be able to pass initial and any/all random drug screens as required both by ATF regulations and company policies. Due to the nature of the positions, marijuana (even medicinal) is an automatic disqualification.
3. This is a largely SEASONAL business, not a full-time year-long career. As such, the majority of our crew have regular jobs (which sadly do not allow them to blow things up), if you do too it is important for you and us that you can safely take time away from your primary job during the busy season. (Specific dates, locations, and compensation to be discussed in depth during interviews.)
4. Large professional fireworks shows are hard work and not for everyone. Our crew does it because it's truly awesome, a bit unique, and amazingly fulfilling to hear the crowd responding to the show. All of our crew are excellent communicators, trustworthy and reliable, able to work long hours outdoors in the Arizona summer, and exceptional at following directions, so you need to possess those qualities and skills as well. The results of that are not only awesome fireworks displays but an excellent safety record!
