Position Summary
This position is responsible to the Deployments/Distribution and Vehicle Management Project Manager for quality assurance of all functional work areas of the contract. He/She will be required to monitor the work areas, observe workloads, employee performance, work habits and procedures, and compare actual work performance with applicable Air Force directives.
Assignments require: (a) a good working knowledge of the governing systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines; (b) an understanding of the needs of the organization serviced; and (c) analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data to establish the facts, and take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines.
Essential Functions
- Responsible to the DDVM Project Manager for the satisfactory accomplishment of all assigned PWS and Air Force regulations in a timely manner.
- Responsible to identify root causes for quality related problems and/or defects.
- Analyzes and evaluates vehicle operations requirements through examining problems or potential problem areas identified by the LRS customer, Command or the DDVM Project Manager.
- Ensure optimal Vehicle safety and serviceability standards are strictly enforced and adhered to in accordance with applicable Air Force regulations and instructions, technical orders, commercial manuals, and manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain current files and comply with operational plans, Base Support Agreements, MOAs/MOUs and applicable directives.
- Develop an inspection schedule for allrequired self-inspection programs.
- Ensure vehicle operations are properly measured and analyzed for control purposes and information portrayed permits manager and various work centers to readily review and take corrective actions on marginal activities under their control.
- Establishes effective controls through a system of internal checks on key PWS operations and regulatory procedures to identify deviations from standards.
- Makes statistical comparisons, interprets findings, and recommends corrective actions.
- Review, coordinate, and initiate corrective action on all Air Force special subject and Command special interest items as required.
Education
High School Graduate or GED equivalent
USAF Quality Assurance Evaluator Course or civilian equivalent
Experience
6 years Air Force Traffic Management experience with two years Quality Assurance experience.or civilian equivalent.
