Summary
The Heritage Club, Boston’s first black and woman owned marijuana dispensary, is looking for an experienced Security Guard team lead to join our growing team! Responsibilities/Duties

• Manage the security team and ensure all work is compliant with company standards
• Support retail leadership with disruptive customers or as backup support
• Provide security presence when requested during an emergency and/or threatening situations, as well as non-emergency events.
• Maintain a comfortable and safe environment
• Routine building/perimeter walkthroughs
• Routine door/window/access point checks
• Monitor surveillance
• Perform lockup and unlock duties where needed
• De-escalate hostile situations
• Ensure no one under the age of 21 years old enters the building
• Removal of unwanted persons
• Parking lot & yard inspection
• Observe and report irregularities
• Prevent loss and damage
• Oversee cash and product deliveries/pickups
• Work with local police and fire departments
• Accompany vendors/guests
• Ensure safety of premises, staff, customers and inventory
• Possess basic knowledge of cannabis products/accessories sold in the store
• Be a team player and help colleagues where needed

Qualifications/Skills

• Must be at least 21 years old
• 1-2 years of security experience
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills
• Ability to de-escalate hostile situations calmly and efficiently
• Possess intermediate computer skills to monitor security equipment and video cameras
• Work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow or heat
• Knowledge of cannabis products/accessories sold in store
• Knowledge of the rules and regulations governing adult-use recreational cannabis
• Ability to lift or carry up to 40 pounds
• Ability to climb stairs, ramps, or ladders
• Ability to stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time
• Ability to work some nights, weekends and holidays
