The Landscape Maintenance Technician performs varied grounds maintenance and other assignments. This position works under general supervision and receives instructions on new or scheduled tasks from higher level maintenance technicians and/or the Director.

• Mows lawns, removes leaves and debris using a blower.
• Edges lawn and shrub beds.
• Removes weeds from flower and shrub beds.
• Trims vegetation as directed.
• Collects litter from facilities and disposes of waste in a safe and appropriate manner.
• Removes and disposes of branches, brush, and other debris.
• Performs operational checks and simple maintenance activities.
• Assists with event set-up and breakdown.
• Maintains basic records as directed.
• Maintains timely and regular attendance.
• Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from high school or GED equivalent and six months of manual labor or maintenance experience; OR any combination of experience, education and training that would provide the level of knowledge and ability required. Successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug screening is required.
