The Emergency Communications Specialist I position, also known as a Call Taker, is an entry level position that serves an essential function to our operations here at Adcom911. The Call Taker is the first voice that people hear when they call 911 seeking help—a voice that can provide instant relief, hope, and reassurance that help is on the way when faced with what can be the worst day of their life. **We are actively hiring candidates to fill our academy starting July 5th, 2022. From start to finish, our hiring process can take as little as two weeks to complete! **
The Call Taker is responsible for duties including but not limited to:
- Receiving emergency and non-emergency calls and entering them into the computer aided dispatch system (CAD)
- Searching for warrants, vehicle information, and driver’s information
- Monitoring and responding to several radio channels
- Make inquiries, entries, cancellations, and modifications in the CCIC and NCIC systems
- Providing pre-arrival medical instructions using PowerPhone
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following skills:

- Ability to type quickly and accurately

- Time management- must be able to perform duties with a sense of urgency.
You will need to have or be able to obtain:
- A valid unrestricted Colorado Driver’s License or ID card
- CPR certification
Minimum requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must be able to work all shifts as we are a 24/7, 365 day per year operation
**Placement on shifts is based on seniority and a quarterly bidding process**
