We are seeking a highly motivated Dog Trainer to join our team at The Dog Wizard Coronado. As a leading provider of professional dog training services, we are dedicated to helping dog owners and their furry companions build a strong and positive bond.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of dogs' behavior and training needs
• Teaching dogs and owners, obedience, state-of-mind, and engagement protocols
• Utilize positive reinforcement techniques to teach basic obedience commands, advanced skills, and address specific behavioral issues
• Lead group classes and individual training sessions to provide instruction and guidance to dog owners
• Monitor and evaluate dogs' progress, making necessary adjustments to training plans as needed
• Provide ongoing support and guidance to dog owners, offering advice and strategies for managing and reinforcing training at home
• Maintain accurate records of clients, training sessions, and progress reports
• Daily care of dogs (feeding/watering/bathroom breaks)
• Cleaning dog runs, kennels, training area
• Running socials and playgroups

Experience in any dog-related field is great but not necessary!  We will hold you to our high standards and expect that you complete our required training courses.  You must also continue your education yearly; we are always trying to learn from the best in the business, so you must be open-minded on how to solve problems.

 

Rate: starting hourly, change to base+commission when training independently

Hours: ranging Tuesday-Saturday, 10am-8pm
