Job Summary:

Norman Filter Company is a quality design and manufacturer of aerospace grade filtration components and is seeking to fill a position in the Quality Department group.  Full time position will be responsible for various Quality Control tasks to support the production and testing departments and will report to the Quality Manager.

Core Duties & Responsibilities:

• Work within the gauge and calibration process to ensure gauges are processed for calibration in a timely manner.
• Support first article inspections by gathering manufacturing records critical to AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports.
• Review and archive Quality Control receipt documents from vendors.
• Participate in the non-conformance process to ensure NC closure timeliness metrics are met.

Secondary Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional inspections for both received and in process parts.
• Perform quality control tests specific to filter components and pressure vessels.
• Perform quality control monitoring activities to ensure processes are in control.
• Perform visual inspections of welds for common defects.

Prerequisites & Required Skills:

• Demonstrated ability to use hand precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
• Capable of reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret BOM’s, material specifications and other nationally recognized and internal requirements.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
