Senior Training and Assessments Analyst
Position Summary:
The Senior Training and Assessments Analyst will provide expertise and analytical support to the Defense Threat Reduction Agency's (DTRA) Strategic Integration Directorate, Training and Exercise Division to support planning and assessment of DTRA training and exercise events. The Senior Analyst will primarily support the Assessments Phase of the Joint Training System by producing supporting documents and reports, coordinating and conducting relevant meetings and working groups, and administering DTRAs Lessons Learned and Corrective Action programs.
This position is onsite at DTRA in Fort Belvoir, Virginia.
Major Responsibilities:
- Develop Collection Management Plans
- Observe, analyze, assess, and document lessons learned in after-action reports
- Administer the Joint Lessons Learned Information System on behalf of DTRA
- Support control cell activities
- Assist in curricula and exercise design and development
- Provide training event facilitation
- Provide expertise on joint training processes and procedures
- Develop assessment instructions and guidance
- Support training and exercise plan development
- Support exercise scenario development
Qualifications:
- A current Top-Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility
- Five (5) years of practical experience
- Prior experience with DTRA mission areas (such as CWMD)
- Demonstrated expertise with DOD Operations plans and programs
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to perform tasks under deadlines
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Excellent reasoning and problem-solving skills
- Ability to interact with employees from other departments or groups
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- Prior Department of Defense environment experience desired
- Prior DTRA experience desired
- Prior Operations experience desired
- Expertise with Microsoft Office tools
- U.S. work authorization
Salary & Benefits: The base pay range for this position is $73,000 to $95,000. The determination of salaries in this job classification depend on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, relevant candidate experience, job-related knowledge, qualifications and skills.
